What is Hand Camp?

Hand Camp is the annual signature event for Hands to Love each year. For Family Hand Camp, we welcome families of children with upper limb differences from toddlers through eighth grade to join us every year.  Our Teen Camp is run concurrently and is designed for high school students. Every spring hundreds of campers and their families and dedicated volunteers come together from all over the country for an amazing themed weekend! Click here to learn more!

What is an Upper Limb Difference?

So, what is an upper limb difference? Great question! An upper limb difference is the partial or complete absence of or malformation of the upper limbs. There are two main types of limb difference: congenital limb difference and acquired limb difference. Difference is another way to say “congenital anomaly ” or “birth defect”. Anomalies are typically poorly understood developmental issues occurring within the first three months of pregnancy. Click here to visit our FAQ’s page to learn more.
